Bobby Fannin Obituary

Bobby Bruce Fannin Sr., 67, of Georgetown, Kentucky and the husband of Maida Romine Fannin, died Wednesday, September 17, 2003 at the Hospice Care Center, Lexington. He was born on November 27, 1935 in Morgan County, Kentucky and was the son of Mae Caskey Fannin Snowden, of Lexington and the late Glene Fannin. Mr. Fannin served his country as a member of the US Air Force and was a retired golf professional. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his daughter Sabrina Sawyer, of Lexington, TN: his son, Bobby (Karen) Fannin, Jr. of Columbus, OH; sisters, Brenda Stinnett, of Lexington, Delora Thrift, of Florida, Betty Jean Cromer, of Alabama; brother, Clayton Fannin, of Ohio; and 6 grandchildren. Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2003 at the Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Bird officiating. Burial will be in the Georgetown Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bobby B. Fannin Jr., Lee Meadows, Andy Teator, Hugh Wiseman, Harold Marcum and Danny McQueen. Honorary bearers will be Mike Oberto, Doug Stinnett, Frank Atkins, Al Chrouser, Kenneth Hall and Randy Stinnett. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 1 p.m. until time of services. Memorials may be made to the Hospice Care Center, One St. Joseph Drive, Lexington, KY 40504.
