Greg,
we are so sorry to hear of your grandmothers passing. I am so glad you had her with you for so long. I could tell from the way you talked she was a wonderful lady. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always.

I am saddened to see that Nanny is no longer with us. I have wonderful memories of her as she made a tremendous impact in my life, she was a patient that any nurse would appreciate. Her stay with me at the nursing home was brief but but wonderful as she inspired me with her determination and her smile. My thoughts and prayers to Greg and Mary, God bless you Greg for being the best grandson on earth. Goodbye Nanny, keep singing for the Lord.

I did not know Ms Shackelford, but felt compelled to offer my sympathy to her family. Her obituary showed her to be a truly grand lady, whose thoughts and actions were for the community around her, and not for personal gain that so often is the majority today.

Jewels such as Ms Shackelford are becoming rarer with each passing, and even though I did not know her, I am saddened by her parting.

May her memories bring you comfort & peace.

I know she is singing with the angels now. I was very fond of her and enjoyed caring for her at the nursing home. Greg and Mary Alice are the best grandchildren. God will be your comforter.

I stayed over 4 years with nanny and enjoyed every minute of it. She taught me so much. We would listen to gospel music and sing together. She loved her cook books. She always looked forward to the Tug meetings I'm so glad I had her in my life. Phyllis Lainhart

What nice legacy. Imogene was my mother's (Edith Cable Cooper) first cousin. I have many fond memories of her from the church meetings with "dinner on the ground" to working with her at Wolfinbarger's when I was a teenager. She was a funny, gracious lady.
