Catherine M. Leve

1941 - 2016

LEVE Catherine M. ("Crackers"), 74, of Lexington, KY went home to be with the LORD on Sun, March 6, 2016 at home surrounded by family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Walter Joseph Leve. She was born in the Bronx, NY to the late Daniel J and Mary Coughlan on May 10, 1941. She was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church in Versailles, KY. She loved her family more than anything in the world and cherished every moment she spent with them. She also loved to go on cruises, gardening, reading, music and the theatre. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sister Peggy Elhardt, her children Daniel Leve (Kathleen Bedene), Laura Leve (Gary Turner), Nancy Leve Place and Matthew Leve. Her grandchildren Jeremy Leve, Sean Turner, Anne Marie Place, Lauren Leve, Zachary Leve, Orion Leve, Ashley Hill, Zion Osborn and Jordan Osborn. Her great granddaughter Kaleigh Leve. And, by her two loving care givers Joyce Greer and Maggie Charlton. She was proceeded in death by a daughter-in-law, DeLynn Leve. A public visitation will be held at Milward Funeral Home on Trent Blvd in Lexington, KY on Wed, March 10th from 5-8pm. A funeral mass will follow on Thurs, March 10th at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Versailles, KY beginning at 10am. A private inurnment will happen at a later date at the Lexington Cemetery Mausoleum in Lexington, KY by her immediate family.
