GEORGETOWN - Charles W. Bruin, 81, widower to Betty Glass Bruin, passed away Thursday. He was born July 7, 1934 in Georgetown to the late Everett & Virginia Secrest Bruin. Charles was a former little league coach, retired from IBM after over 32 years of service, retired as a School Bus Driver in Scott County after 20 years of service & was a member & deacon of Gano Baptist Church. He is survived by his Children, Charles Gary Bruin & Judy Carol Bruin-Thomas both of Georgetown; grandchildren, Charlie William Bruin II, Michael Todd Grizzle, Nikki Taylor Thomas; great grandchildren, Ryan, Kaden & Jared Grizzle & his brother, Stanley (Phyllis) Bruin of Sadieville. He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Allen Bruin & his siblings, Howard Lee Bruin, Mary Frances Cook, Jean Christine Gorham, Minnie Mae Caudill, James Everett Bruin, George Thomas Bruin & Russell Edmund Bruin. Services will be 11am, Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, at Gano Baptist Church in Georgetown. Burial will be at Georgetown Cemetery with pallbearers being grandsons & family.
