To Claude III,

Buddy, I stumbled on this obituary. You may not remember me but we worked at Baskin Robbins together in the 1970s. I remember your dad well. Please accept my belated condolences.

Carol,

I am very sorry for your loss. I didn't learn until I saw the Kentucky Alumni. Claude and I were in graduate school together, and we had a Paris connection. I enjoyed seeing him a few years ago. Again, sorry for your loss.

Carol,

You and Claude opened your hearts and home to me and all my siblings. I am forever grateful to you both for all the love and support you have shown all of Winnie and Tony's kids over the years. We love Claude and will treasure the memories. We're here for you and your family. God Bless.

Dear Vaughan Family,

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. As a student at EKU, Dr. Vaughan challenged me to be a better student; convinced me to major in Economics; and mentored me. The man went to the wall for me - writing letters of recommendation and helping me start my career. As he used to say before his difficult tests, "There will crying and gnashing of teeth!" Well there is for me today for sure. God bless you.
