June 29, 1937 - August 13, 2025

Lexington, Kentucky - Darlene Minton Trimble, age 88, of Lexington, KY, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025, surrounded by love and comfort. Born on June 29, 1937, in Lexington, KY, she was the daughter of the late James Thomas Minton and Geneva Clair Scott Minton.

She is survived by her cherished grandchildren, Sara (Robert) Powers, Candace Littrell, and Chase Rogers; and great-grandchildren, Hunter, Avery, and Paisley, who brought her immense joy in her later years.

She was preceded in death by her beloved children Joe Littrell, Steve Littrell, and Kathy Littrell; her sisters, Cletus Turley and Margaret Morris; and her brother, Ted Minton.

She dedicated many years of her life in service as a council clerk for the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government. Her professionalism and unwavering commitment made a lasting impact on all who worked alongside her. She was a kind and gentle soul whose smile could light up any room. Her warmth, strength, and grace touched the lives of all who knew her.

Her life was a testament to love, resilience, and quiet strength. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Heritage Hospice in Danville, KY for their compassionate care during Darlene's final days.

Darlene lived a wonderful life and showed grace and integrity in all she did. I am so proud and happy that my family and her granddaughter, Candace was witness to her love and quality time together. Her memories will bring us comfort knowing that she is with her loved ones and Jesus now.
