Edwin Ledford Obituary

WINCHESTER - Edwin Ledford, 63, of 29 Westchester Drive, husband of Carol Kays Ledford, died at 6:31pm Thu at his home. A native of Montgomery County, he was the son of the late Charles E. and Lillian Grace Hudson Ledford. He was owner of Ledford Steel of Winchester and the Edwin Ledford Company. He was a graduate of Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro and a 1930s-1950s car collector. Other survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles E. and Kathi Ledford II of Winchester and Eric and Debbie Ledford of Mount Sterling; five grandchildren, Katie, Allyson, Sara Ann, Laura Beth and Delaney Ledford and his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Kays of Harrodsburg. Private graveside services will be conducted in The Winchester Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Palmer, Jerry Childress, Lewis Brashear, Tom East, Randy Todd and Bill Pumphrey. Visitation will be 6-9pm Sun at Scobee Funeral Home. Memorials may take the form of contributions to Hospice East, 407 Shoppers Drive, Winchester, KY 40391 or The Shriners Hospital, 1900 Richmond Road, Lexington, KY 40502.
