Esther Burkhard Obituary

LIBERTY - Esther Weller Burkhard, 101, died Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the Liberty Care Center. Born December 7, 1912 in Saint Joseph, MO, she was the daughter of the late Philip P. and Hattie Williams Weller. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred J. Burkhard, a sister, and a brother. Survivors include two children, Elanor Burkhard Brawner (Larry) of Elizabethtown, KY and John P. Burkhard (Trudy) of Lexington, KY; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services are 11am Friday, August 15 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home in Liberty, KY. Burial is in Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery at Creston. Visitation is Thursday, August 14 from 6 - 9pm at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy can be given to Mt. Pleasant Church, c/o Shirley Land, 183 Jim Lee Rd. Liberty, KY 42539. Funeral arrangements entrusted to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with guestbook available at www.mckinney brown.com.
