Eugene Daniels

DANIELS Eugene Roy, II, 65, Lexington, formerly of Chesapeake, VA, husband, best friend and soul mate of 43 years to Wanda Daniels, died Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. A native of Charleston, SC, he was preceded by his parents, Eugene Roy Daniels, Mary Daniels, and Loretta Mann. He retired from NNSY in Portsmouth, VA after 33 years of service. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, Past Master of Nansemond 77 Masonic Lodge, member of Portsmouth Moose Lodge 898, an avid golfer, poker player, and modeler, but his most important role was that of grandfather. In addition to his wife, he leaves behind a son, Ted (Carrie) Daniels; a brother, Chuck Daniels; a half-sister, Loren Vinson; two grandchildren, Riley Beth and Sam; an uncle, Fred Daniels, and many cousins. Funeral services will be 12 noon Tuesday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home Main Street by the Rev. Art Beasley. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Casual attire is requested. Visitation will be 6-7:30pm Monday at the funeral home. The family is grateful to the staff at Nalco Dialysis Center and all that they have done to make the last two years as normal as possible.
