Lorrain, We were so sorry to hear about Mr Smoot's passing. You have spoken so warmly and fondly of him at the stockyards and I remember the day you introduced him to me and said I "needed" to bid high on his cattle because he was a hard working farmer. I did! He had good cattle. Give our best to John and your beautiful girls. Our prayers are with you all.

Mrs. Smoot, I am the daughter of Peachie Smits Wright and she did not know how to reach you or send you a note but she wanted you to know that she is thinking of you and sending her deepest sympathy. She has told us many wonderful stories of her childhood and you were a very important part of it. God Bless you and your family. Sincerely, Patty Wright Greer
