My condolences and prayers to his wife Mary and family. He was a great father to me. He was a great outdoorsman and was a part of the Boyscouts since his childhood in Johnstown, PA and continued to serve as an adult leader for many years. The Bluegrass BSA Council will miss him. He loved the Orthodox Church, and singing in the choir. We spent many vacations visiting Orthodox Churches, Cathedrals, and camping, hiking, and canoeing. As any great dad would, he encouraged me to pursue every opportunity to explore the outdoors, family, and the church. He will be missed. My only disappointment is that I was not notified of his passing so his grandchildred, great grandchildren and my wife and I could attend his funeral. We will make sure he will be prayed for according to the orthodox faith at his 40 day and a yearly orthodox memorial services. He was the main influence and role model in my life since 1965 when he made me his step son. I am sure he has influenced many others over the years. He can rest now with our Father in Heaven knowing he is be remembered and prayed for by numerous orthodox monastery priests, monks and nuns forever. May Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, have mercy on him.
