Groves DeWayne Joey

1956 - 2017

beloved husband, father, and friend passed from this physical life on December 28, 2017. He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 37 years, Margie, two wonderful children, Calvin (Emily) and Hannah, and three loving siblings Bill (Connie), John, and Marsha. Joey was born on August 21, 1956. He enlisted in the Navy at 18, leaving his home of Cynthiana KY, to serve his country and see the world. Joey was a member of the United States Postal Service for 32 years, serving as Post Master in three Central KY cities since 2002. His kind, generous and caring leadership served all who knew him. Every person who met Joey was touched by his humor, compassion, and love of life. He was blessed to have an extremely deep core group of friends that began very early in life and were a constant source of love and support throughout his years. Joey never knew a stranger and was loved by all who knew him. He has enriched this world and he will be dearly missed.
