We were greatly saddened to hear of Hailu's passing. But, oh! What a grand place he is in now! Hailu was one of the Godliest men that we have ever known. He loved and served
his God in everything he did. We were blessed to have had him in our
lives, even if only for a short time. What a better place he made this world. And an even grander place he will make heaven. We will not say goodbye, but only farewell, until we meet again, Hailu. Godspeed

I was saddened to learn of Hailu's passing. Our paths have not crossed for a number of years, but the memories I have of him bring a smile to my face. As I am sure his family will recall, he occasionally worked in the evenings at our families' business (Brown Foodservice, Inc.) loading trucks, because he said his wife "wanted him to get some exercise." His educational training probably made him the most over-qualified "truck-loader" in history, but he never allowed his superior intellect to create an impression that manuel labor was "beneath him." He treated everyone as an equal, regardless of their educational level. I still think about the example he set of how to treat people. He was extremely humble, and ready to do whatever job he was given.
My deepiest sympathies go out to his family.

I was saddened to learn of Hailu's passing this morning. My father, George Brown (for whom Hailu worked at Brown Foodservice in Prestonsburg) was glad that Hailu worked for him and knew him as a hard worker who always had a kind word for all he worked with. My father passed away nearly 3 years ago, and I miss him still today. I know you will miss Hailu as well. My families thoughts and prayers are with you now. I feel blessed for having known Hailu and morn his passing. I hope to make it to his funeral on Saturday.
