Lexington, Kentucky - Henri deChastaignier "Hank" Mazyck passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, humility, and quiet strength. Born on September 16, 1951, Hank was a gifted athlete whose passion for sports endured throughout his life. He inspired countless young people as a coach who cared deeply for his players-always leading with compassion, integrity, and heart.

Hank shared 46 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Ann Kathryn "Kitty" Mazyck. Their marriage was a model of devotion, built on mutual respect, unwavering loyalty, and deep love. Together they raised two children and created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and enduring values.

He was predeceased by his adoptive parents, Linton Hunter Mazyck and June Craine Mazyck, and his beloved son, Hunter Thomas Mazyck. He is survived by his wife Kitty, daughter Ann Wesley (John) Boardman, son Jason Mazyck, brother Jeff (Giovanna) Godby, sister Jo Lynn (Steve) Carron, brother-in-law Thomas C. (Lynn) Roser, nephews Max (Ashley) Godby and Thomas B. (Amy) Roser, and niece Margaret Lynn Roser. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Henry James Boardman and Kathryn Hunter Boardman-who were the light of his life.

Hank also leaves behind numerous cousins and extended family members with whom he shared countless joyful moments and deep bonds over the years.

Hank was a man of immense character-genuine, giving, and grounded in faith. His calm presence put everyone at ease, and his gentle strength uplifted those around him. Whether on the baseball field, in the office, or at home, he made people feel seen, valued, and loved.

The world is better for having had Hank in it. His legacy of selflessness, grace, and service lives on in his children, grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
