I am so sad to learn of Ms. Souder's passing. She was my teacher, during what I believe were her first years at Collins Lane. This morning I decided to look her up online, because I was hanging a simple but treasured yarn and felt Santa ornament which was made by students in a different class- and a set was given to the students in our class. I've always loved it, and it always brings back memories of my favorite teacher from those years. She was such a wonderful teacher!

I cannot think of a more caring, honest, and giving teacher than her. My years at Collins Lane are filled with many teachers but she stands out among many. The world has lost an amazing educator and overall person. She will be deeply missed. R. I. H.

My Mother Evelyn Seymour and Hester were very dear friends from Childhood on, and we lived a few blocks from her when i was younger. I remember her like it was yesterday and how kind and funny she was. The world lost a truly great woman, but Heaven gained a saint.
