James Scott Hoskins Jr.

HOSKINS James Scott Jr., 68, Georgetown, passed from this earth to be with the Lord on Tue, Oct. 17, 2006 at his residence. He was a member of the Lord's Body, The North Lexington Church of Christ. He was born Mar. 4, 1938 in Big Willard, Perry County, KY to Mina Stacy Hoskins of Big Willard, KY and the late Scott Hoskins. Scott was a U.S. Army veteran and was employed with Kentucky American Water Company for 30 years. Survivors other than his mother are his wife, Eileen Rosemary Meade Hoskins, "Rosie Girl", according to Scott; his children, Jamie Hoskins, NC, Camilla "Sissy" Hoskins, NC, Avery Hoskins, Lexington, Jimmy Burke, Owensboro, KY, Chris Burke, Wilmore, KY, Apryl Myers, Georgetown, KY, and Lori A. Slemp, Georgetown, KY; 18 grandchildren who will miss him dearly and whom he loved very much, Heather, Brandon, Kendall, Ashley, Jonathan, James David, Allyson, Katie, Chelsea, Kristen, Courtney, Logan, Jaylan, Jacob, Sarah, Joshua, Ryan, and Savannah; two sisters, Marie Gibson, Columbus, OH, and Beatrice Flannery, Brooksville, FL; and three brothers, Taylor and Wade, both of Big Willard, KY, and his youngest brother, Charles Hoskins, Huntington, IN. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Warren G. Campbell. Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Fri at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. Burial will follow in Lexington Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jamie and Avery Hoskins, Jimmy and Chris Burke, Mark Yonts, and Louie and Shannon Hoskins. Honorary pallbearers will be Taylor, Wade and Charles Hoskins. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Thu.
