To the family of Jeremy Marks,
I am so sorry for your loss, I know it has to be very difficult for you right now. I want you to know that no words can express my sympathy for you. Jeremy was such a great young man, God Bless. I am leaving a poem that I hope you will enjoy:
To Those I Love and Those Who Loved Me.....
When I am gone, release me, let me go.
I have so many things to see and do.
You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears.
Be happy that we had so many years.
I gave you me love: you can only guess
How much you gave me in happiness.
I thank you for the love you each have shown,
but now it's time I traveled on alone.
So grieve awhile for me, if grieve you must.
Then let your grief be comforted by trust.
It's only for a while that we must be apart,
So bless the memories within your heart.
I won't be far away. for life goes on,
So if you need me call and I will come.
Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near,
And if you listen with your heart,
You'll hear all my love around you soft and clear.
And then when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and say, "Welcome Home".
I really hope you enjoyed the poem, please feel free to contact me if you want...

Shirl,
Seems like just yesterday we had our babies at the office (Peoples Advocate Mortgage). When I read about Jeremy's passing I thought back to the last time I saw him...he had his hair so big and you just shook your head and rolled your eyes. You loved that boy so much and picked your battles with him. Then I thought of when your dad passed away and your family's faith was so strong. It's comforting to know Jeremy is with his grandfather now. I am so sorry for your loss, Shirl. I know Jeremy was absolutely your entire life. There isn't a person who knows you that wouldn't agree to that! He was your whole life, Mrs. Hattie's, your dad's, and Gerald's. He was definitely the most loved "little boy" I EVER knew! You and your family are in my prayers!

When I first got the news about Jeremy I was in disbelief and prayed that he would be able to recover. But because Jeremy belonged to God I thank him for the time that he was allowed to be here and the blessing he was to you and the family and others whom he came in contact with. Jeremy was always well mannered and greeted me with respect the times that he did come to the daycare. As a mother My heart goes out to you and I want you to know that I will continue to lift you up in prayer as the days comes and go.Lean not to your own understanding but continue to trust God. I will be praying for tristen and your grand-child. I'm here with a listening ear. Love ya Darlene and St.Clair Jr.

Shirl, "Miss Hattie Mae", Gerald, and Aunt Margaret,
We are so saddened by the loss of Jeremy.
Shirl, we have been friends since childhood and so were our sons. I have MANY fond memories of Jeremy. I will especially remember the days when He, Kam and Bronson were little and would play hours on end with never a spat or cross word between them and even after growing up Jeremy and Kam still maintained that kind of friendship.
We don't understand "why", but we do know that God is in control and He doesn't make any mistakes. God plucked a beautiful flower for His Heavenly garden. Jeremy will be missed, but NEVER FORGOTTEN.
As Christians, we have hope that one day we will all meet again on the OTHER SHORE. In that GREAT GETTING UP MORNING, we will meet again with all our loved ones and friends who have gone on to be with Lord. "What a time, What a time, What a time that will be!"
"Weeping may endure for a night, BUT joy comes in the morning!!"
Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
"May God bless you, keep you, and sustain you during this time and in the days ahead."
If there is ANYTHING that we can do for you, please DO NOT hesistate to call.
Love You All!!

Shirl, Ms. Marks & Gerald,
Our first thoughts when were heard, was God called him home. My first thoughts was, he is with his Grandfather. Last night we were talking about Jeremy and Teri was telling us a story of last year at school. She said he was walking down the hall acting like a bird. And she showed us what he was doing. We could picture him doing this. And she went on to tell us more stories from school last year. She has known Jeremy for a long time, but they became close last year. Jeremy was at our house around a month ago. Brian and some friends were outside playing basketball and Jeremy drove by. He turned around and came back. Our front yard was full of trucks before the night was over. We always knew when Jeremy drove by the house, the ground was shaking a long time before we saw the truck. Brian was talking yesterday about his tatoos and "The Ground". Our entire family will miss his smile and laugh. Our prayers are with all of you. He was a great kid and all of you did a good job raising him. We will all miss him.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
