Lancaster, Kentucky - Jessie Rae Conn Herzog 96, of Garrard County and widow of Edward R. Herzog, Sr., passed away peacefully Friday, March 31, 2023 at her home, surrounded by family, after a short illness. She was born on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1926 in Somerset to the late William Wade Conn & Jessie Roberts Conn and was a member of Roberts Chapel Methodist Church in Nicholasville. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt who loved her family with all her heart. In addition to her parents and husband , she was preceded in death by her brother, William A. Conn, and her sister, Alma Wade Williams.
She is survived by a son Edward R. (Linda) Herzog, Jr., three daughters, Teresa Rae Geran, Patti Herzog, & Connie (George) Gilbert, eight grandchildren, Eric (Leigh) Lichaa, Jessica Lichaa, Olivia (Charlie) Barron, Ryan (Greta) Gilbert, Claire (Mark Conkle) Gilbert, Holly (Jay) Stowell, Ellen (Jon Belford) Gilbert, & Jeffrey (April Parker) Kuhnhenn,as well as 13 great grandchildren, Ben, Charlie, Jacob, Abby Rae, James, Amelia, Elijah, Quinn, Aviana, Cecily Rae, Macy, Ella & Otto, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by the Revs. Ryan Gilbert, Jonathon Grizzell & Bryan Hester, with burial following in Lancaster Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 Noon Tuesday until 2:00 PM. Pallbearers will be George Gilbert, Greg Williams, Charlie Barron, Jay Stowell, Mark Conkle, and Jon Belford. Her children want to express their heartfelt appreciation to Heritage Hospice for the wonderful loving care they gave to their Mother. Memorial contributions may go to Roberts Chapel Methodist Church or Heritage Hospice. Friends and family may leave condolences or special memories on her tribute page at www.ramsey-young.com
