March 19, 1945 - April 11, 2024
LEXINGTON, Kentucky - John Ben Leach, born in Jellico, TN, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully at his home on April 11, 2024. He was survived by his son John, daughter Mary Ann, granddaughters Corrine, Caroline and Taylor and grandsons, Jackson and Gavin, sister Clara and much loved nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Zella and siblings Larry, Novella, Wilma, and Gary. John had a huge heart for his family, friends, a good time, and laughter. He proudly graduated from Stivers High School in Dayton, OH in 1963 where he was Football MVP. He also served in the U.S. A.F. 1964 -1968 as well as A.F. Reserves 1968 -1970. He was successful in owning multiple businesses and properties throughout his lifetime. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 22, 2024 at Milward-Man O' War, 1509 Trent Blvd., Lexington, KY, 9:30 am with a funeral service to follow at 10:30 am. He will be laid to rest at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. www.milwardfuneral.com

Just heard of John's passing and very sorry it was too late to be at visitation or burial . John and I went back quite a few years. Angela and I thought the world of John. Prayers for the family and our condolences.

John was a good friend to Mike and I. We had many good times with him and Norma. We played cards, vacationed, and had good times watching ball games. He sure will be missed.
