I worked for Dave in 1974. The picture is from a surprise birthday party we held for him at Keeneland Racetrack, with Liz and John David, Jr.

Dear Liz...it has been many, many years since we have seen each other but I always have kept you in my fonest memories of our times together in the good ol' days ! I am so very sorry about David's passing. I have been kept up on his situation by a good, mutual friend of mine, Sharon Haddix. I just want you to know how sorry I am but also relieved that he is no longer suffering. I send you my love, thoughts and prayers. Maybe we will run into each other again some day...I hope so.
Love,
Gigi

Liz, Bill, Julia, and David,
I was saddened today when Nancy Clo Evans(Nardieiello) called today to let me know of David's passing. It has been a long journey. (Jessica somehow knew. ) . Our family will always remember the kind, generous and good natured man he was while
part of our lives. I am sincerely sorry for you loss.

I am so sorry for your loss of David. I was not able to be in Lexington this year for the sale and will not be able to visit you but wanted you to know how much I am thinking of all of you. I have wonderful memories of David and will hold them forever.
