Lane LeBus Obituary
March 20, 1941 - June 9, 2025
Lexington, Kentucky - Lane Hill LeBus, of Lexington, died on June 9, 2025, surrounded by family members and those who cared for her. She was a Kentucky native, born March 20,1941.
She and her husband, Clarence "Buck" LeBus were major supporters of the Boys and Girls Club in Harlan and established the LeBus Child Development Center at the Episcopal Church of the Advent in Cynthiana.
Lane is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Gentry Spears, Kathleen's daughter, Chase Studer (Ross Studer) and sons Thomas Spears (Sayde Daniels) and Chance McKeever and Kathleen's three grandchildren: John Norman Spears, Woodford Spears, and Sawyer Studer. Also surviving are grandson Olin Parker Gentry and granddaughter Angela Lane Gentry. Lane was predeceased by her husband, Clarence "Buck" LeBus and son Olin Benjamin Gentry. Also surviving are siblings Logan Hill and Bruce Hill Florence.
A graveside service for Mrs. LeBus will begin at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, June 19th at Lexington Cemetery located at 833 W Main Street. Guests who would like to attend are asked to arrive at the cemetery by 11:15 a.m. where cemetery staff will instruct where to stage to follow in procession for the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Lexington School or the Cawood Ledford Boys and Girls Club of Harlan County (1 Positive Place, Harlan, KY 40831).

I remember Lane when we were in high school she came to my hometown for a youth event at our church. She stayed with with my grandparents, Mary and Mack Rogan. Later as we became adults I reconnected with her and really enjoyed her. She was such a lady.
