Born June 5, 1919, passed into her Savior's arms on March 30, 2021. She was 101 years old. Born in Ashcamp, KY, in Pike County. She was a devoted daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. She was a woman of powerful faith, and a hardworking, independent businesswoman. She was creative and industrious, and yet always very loving, generous with her time and affection for her family, nieces, nephews, friends and anyone she met.
She is survived by two of her four children, Ronald G. McPeek (Ann) of Winchester, Ky, and John A. McPeek (Betty) or Scottsdale, AZ. Two of her children predeceased her: Jack D. McPeek (Libby), and Mary Haggard Goodlin (Bill).
Surviving grandchildren include: Kenneth (Sherri) McPeek, Leslie (Robert) Dickinson, Lisa (David) Seurer, William Haggard, Marshall McPeek and Jordan McPeek, and 6 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Walter and Elizabeth (Senter) Reece. She was the oldest of 7 siblings. She is survived by two sisters, Lavada (Sam) Mullins, and Amanda Frances (Ellis) Little. She was predeceased by brother Kermit (Esther) Reece, sister Ines (Fitzhue) Stanley, and two infant brothers.
