Louise Hobbs

HOBBS Louise "Rosie" Pryor, 72, of Lexington, wife of John T. Hobbs, M.D., died Friday, October 17, 2014. A native of Lexington, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Louise Johnson Pryor. She received her education at the University High School, in Lexington and St. Mary's High School, in Raleigh, NC. She received her Master's Degree in Special Education from the University of Kentucky where she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority. Her memberships included the First Presbyterian Church, Idle Hour Country Club, Junior League of Lexington and Fayette County Medical Society. She formerly taught at the Bluegrass School and the University of Louisville. Besides her husband, survivors include one son, John Marshall Hobbs, Owensboro, KY; two daughters, Hillary Hobbs (Monty) Nielsen and Shelby Hobbs (Mark) Williamson, both of Lexington; four grandchildren, Marshall Montgomery Nielsen, Elizabeth Pryor Nielsen, Molly Wells Williamson and John Hobbs Williamson, all of Lexington; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including a special friend, Ethel Mae Webb. She was preceded in death by her sister, Joan Johnson Pryor. Graveside services will be 11am Monday at the Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8pm Sunday at Milward-Broadway.
