Martha Cecil Obituary

CECIL Martha Parmelia, 87 of Lexington, died Tue, July 4, 2006. Born in Lexington, KY, she was the daughter of Edward James and Clara Mae Wilford. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell E. Cecil, her brothers and sisters, Dorothea Duvall, Evelyn McGarvey, Leah Cooper, Frank Wilford and Vernon Wilford. She was a member of Southland Christian Church where she was a charter member, a former member of Broadway Christian Church. She is survived by a daughter, Cecelia Ann Place (Ralph), sons, Russell E. (Rusty) Cecil, Jr. (Kathy), Richard Allen Cecil (Bonnie), and William "Peanut" Cecil (Valerie), six grandchildren, Kellie McCarthy, Kristina Place, Shane Cecil, Brandon Cecil, Matthew Cecil and Katie Ann Cecil, three great-grandchildren, Kayla McCarthy, Jenna McCarthy, and Isaac Cecil, special friends and caregivers, Frank and Linda Davis. Funeral services will be Fri, 3 p.m., at W.R. Milward-Southland at by Rev. Garrett Stephens. Burial in Lexington Cemetery. Friends may call Fri, from 1 p.m. until the service. Dear Cecil Family,

I am really sorry for the loss of Martha. I have really enjoyed spending time with her. Martha was such a sweet lady and I know that she was very special to my parents. (Linda & Frank)! May God be with you all during this difficult time.

I am so sorry for your loss. Martha was such a nice lady. I really enjoyed spending time with her the last several months, she always made me laugh and she always had compliments for everyone I brought around her. I know my mom (Linda) will be lost without her for the next couple of weeks:)
