Nancy LeBus Obituary
October 17, 1937 - September 22, 2022
Richmond, Kentucky - Nancy Saufley LeBus, 84, our beautiful mother, entered the gates of Heaven on Thursday, September 22, 2022, and is now safely in the arms of our Lord.
She was born on October 17, 1937, in Richmond, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Shelton M. Saufley, Jr., and Carlisle G. Saufley. She entered this world both a beautiful child and a soul filled with grace and kindness. She was a member of the Lexington Junior League, the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority at the University of Kentucky, the Huguenot Society of the Founders of Manakin, and was a faithful member of the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Lexington.
Survivors include: her children, Nancy "Shelton" LeBus Surtin (Husband Patrick Surtin), Clarence LaValle "Larry" LeBus, Jr., (wife Carol LeBus), and Eleanor LeBus Lee (Husband James "Jay" Lee); her brother and sister-in-law, Shelton "Marshall" Saufley, III (wife Aurelia Saufley); six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; as well as five nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her sister and brother-in-law, Carlisle S. McDonald and George McDonald.
Graveside service will be conducted at 1:45 PM, Monday, October 3, 2022, at the Richmond Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Carol Ruthven officiating.
The family will have a time of visitation from 12:00 PM (Noon), until 1:30 PM on Monday, October 3, 2022, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, W. Main St., Richmond.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mrs. LeBus are suggested to the charity of ones choice.
