Nancye Johnson Obituary

JOHNSON Nancye Barber, 90, of Lexington, formerly of Hazard, passed away Sun, June 28, 2009. A native of Pike County, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard McClure Johnson and her parents, Jesse Clay and Alma Clayton Barber. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Lexington. Survivors include two daughters, Lucy Carol Johnson of Lexington and Lee Johnson Waterfield of Frankfort; two brothers, Robert Gene Barber of Morehead and Jack Lee Barber of Mt. Sterling; a sister, Mary Frances Scroggin of The Woodlands, TX; 4 grandchildren, Whitney Clayton Waterfield (David Nofsinger), Ryan McClure Waterfield (Greg Van Der Meulen), Harry Lee Waterfield III (Ashley Waterfield) and Richard Garth Waterfield; and 3 great grandchildren, Harper Waterfield Nofsinger, Willis Hayden Nofsinger, and Harry Lee Waterfield IV. Funeral Service 11:30am Wed at Milward-Broadway with private burial at Lexington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 160 Broadway Street, Hazard, KY 41702. www.milwardfuneral.com

Lucy,
Just returned home and heard about Nancye's passing. I had visited with her several times and taken Communion to her from First Presbyterian Church.
Always enjoyed visiting with her. You are in my prayers as you go through this difficult time.
