To The Family of Miss Nellie,
I have been an admirer of her art for many, many years and was impressed with how wonderfully charitable she was. I always wanted to meet her in person and was never able to, and I regret that. In your sorrow of loss please know she touched many, many lives that she never knew and now she is with the Angels in Heaven. Forever I will treasure the painting I have of hers. Bless you and remember to always celebrate her life.

To the relatives and friends of Ms. Meadowes,
As a fellow artist, I had the honor and privelage of being a fellow member of The Kentucky Heritage Artists. During ones life, we sometimes are blessed with knowing someone who is very special and indeed stands out among the rest, having those qualities which are unmistakenly endowed by God. I believe Nellie Meadows to be just such a person. I have learned many valuable things in the brief time I was able to call you friend. May God extend to your relatives and friends, His love and compassion and thank you for blessing so many of our lives.

Miss Nellie you will be missed. Such a wonderful and talented person. I won one of your painting you donated to Clay City Elementary several years ago. It was and has been the only thing I have ever won. I will treasure it always. Our community will greatly miss you. God sure has a beautiful rose to add to his garden now that you are there. Thank you for all you ever gave to our community. We will always love you greatly. To your family I will keep you in my prayers, as I know you will miss her. But I know she is in the most beautiful place there is, HEAVEN. May God bless you all.

When I walk through my home, and the homes of many others, I see the life’s work of the most talented and patient person I have ever known. Nellie’s artistic ability, and giving spirit is evident throughout my home and through these works she will continue to live in our hearts. We will not look at a Kentucky wildflower, with out a thought for Wildflower Nellie.
