Neva Cooper Hassanein

HASSANEIN, Neva Cooper, 81, died Fri., July 9, 2004 at her residence in Lexington. She was born in Hazard, KY, daughter of the late C.V. and Elizabeth Daniel Cooper. She was a graduate of Sullins College in Bristol, VA and attended the University of Kentucky. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, a strong supporter of the Ronald McDonald House, the Lexington Philharmonic Orchestra and the New York Society of Kentucky Women. She was a former Director of the Peoples Bank and the Hazard Compensation Agency of Hazard. Survivors include Salah M. Hassanein, loving father of her children, Del Mar, CA: three sons and two daughters, Roland G. Hassanein, San Diego, CA, Richard C. Hassanein, Agoura Hills, CA, Nesa Elizabeth Hassanein, Denver, CO, Salah V. Hassanein, Morristown, NJ and Neva Emily Hassanein, Missoula, MT, two brothers, Richard "Dick" Cooper, Lexington, Vernon Cooper, Hazard: four grandchildren: and close companion, Jerome Richard, from New York City, NY. Funeral services will be Tues., 11 am at Immanuel Baptist Church Chapel conducted by Dr. Craig Loscalzo with burial in the Lexington Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Roland G. Hassanein, Richard C. Hassanein, Salah V. Hassanein, Ryan Hassanein, Matthew Hassanein and David Lightstone. Friends may call Mon., 1-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the W.R. Milward Mortuary-Broadway.
