Patsy McConnell Obituary

PIKEVILLE - Patsy Ann Ledford McConnell, 77, of Pikeville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, July 18, 2015, at the Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Louisa, Lawrence County, Kentucky, on October 20, 1937, to the late Kash Ledford and Laura Jane Cordial Burton Seeber. She is survived by her former husband, James D. "Jim" McConnell of Russell, KY; daughters, Ann Beth (Robert) Bobo of Independence, KY, Susie McConnell Wade of Concord, CA, and Nancy Jane McConnell of Louisville, KY; her grandchildren; Carolyn Bobo of Independence, KY, Robbie (Kelsey) Bobo of Hillsboro, TX, Ben Bobo of Independence, KY, and Kaky Payne of Concord, CA; aunt, Mae Ledford Sexton; twin sister, Jane L. Salyer of Pikeville, KY and sister, Jackie (Joe) Doerflein of Cincinnati, OH; sister-in-laws, Janice Ledford of Ashland, KY, Cellia (Frank) Conley of Bowling Green, KY, Judy Ledford of Palacious, TX; cousin, Bill (Sis) Ledford of Willington, KY; nephews, Robert Ledford of Palacious, TX, and Jesse Lee Salyer, Jr. (Stephanie Newsome, fianc‚) of Pikeville, KY, nieces, Mindy (Olan) Winningham of Nashville, TN, Missy (Terry) Tippens of Winder, GA, and Jane Ann Salyer of Lexington, KY; and dear friends, Annette Cole of Pikeville, KY, Mary Selders of Gwynn Oak, MD, and Mary Robinson of Flatwoods, KY. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her uncle, Pat Ledford; brothers, Curtis Burton Ledford and Bill Jim Ledford; cousin, Joan Ledford Crouch; and nephew, Dr. Loren James Ledford. Ms. McConnell graduated from Louisa Elementary School in Lawrence County and Russell High School in Greenup County. She attended Ashland Junior College and Eastern Kentucky University. Her cremated remains will be interred in the Catron Cemetery at Pomeroyton, Menifee Co., KY during graveside services on August 8, 2015, at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in her memory to: First Christian Church of Louisa, P.O. Box 904, Louisa, KY 41230. Or the charity of one's choice.
