Mrs Goodpaster,
I just found out today about you & your family's loss, and I want you to know you all are in my prayers, and I send my deepest sympathy to you & your family.
Paul died on my birthday, and after about 9 years of no contact with my former Nsg school instructor, my brother and I traveled to Owinsville, from out of state, and we walked into Pauls office last year, and I saw a family photo on his desk, and lo and behold, i seen you. After my brother and Paul finished their business, I asked him if he was related to you, and he replied, "Linda Gayle is my loving, caring wife." My eyes were teary then, because I remembered how you took me under your wing, & pushed me to do my best, and I have never forgot you for that! Linda, you helped me realize I could do anything I set my mind to.
Love Ya, BJ Day,LPN

P.S. Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well-lived.

So many memories of Paul come to my mind. I've lost a neighbor and a friend. A man who worked hard, loved his family and treated others with respect. He was all that and yet so much more - it's just hard to put into words. I am truly saddened by his passing and hold you all in my heart.

We at Hazel Green Academy were very fond of Paul. He was a friend to many and my basketball teammate. Many may not know he was a starter on the last (1965)HGA team in school history to win the District 56 Tournament. He was an unselfish player for Coach Jim Hollon. Sad to say, I never saw him again after my 1963 graduation. God bless you, Linda, and his children.

Dear Linda Gail and Family:

Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this sorrowful time. We are never ready to give up someone we love.

I often called Paul at his office to ask for information I needed to do title examinations and he was always so very nice and helpful.

But most of all I remember how helpful he was when my step-father, Ray Goodpaster, was dying of cancer. Paul was always there to take him to the doctor, to take him to get a treatment, or to just drive him around and listen to his concerns. Paul was a wonderful friend to Ray and a Godsent to my mother and we are grateful for his generosity.

Please take comfort in knowing that he was loved and appreciated by others.

God be with you.
