Raymond Kays Obituary

KAYS Raymond Ellis, died Sat., Dec. 17, 2005. Born Feb. 22, 1920, in Princeton, IN, son of the late Theodore and Elsie Kays. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Hulett Stehle Kays. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Leslie Kays and Paul (Pearl) Kays. He is survived by one brother, Adrian (Betty) Kays of Princeton, IN, and two special nieces, Phyllis Crecelius and Margaret Kays. He is also survived by stepson, David (Kathy) Stehle of Meridian, MS, and stepdaughter Bettye (Bob) Burns, of Lexington; four grandsons, Mike Stehle of Atlanta, Mark Stehle of Atlanta, Angus Burns of Lexington, and Shea Burns of Tucson, AZ. He was a graduate of Transylvania College and the Lexington Theological Seminary. He served Disciples of Christ churches in Tupelo and Clarksdale, MS, Memphis and Clarksville, TN, Kokomo, IN, Dry Ridge and Frankfort, KY. He was a member of Crestwood Christian Church. Services will be conducted by Rev. Bill McDonald at 11 am Wed. at W.R. Milward Mortuary, Southland. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Pall bearers in addition to the four grandsons are John Sims, and Tom Christianson. Honorary pallbearers are Joseph Duncan, John Russell, Beverly Williams, Bill Crecelius, and the members of the Bradford Sunday School Class.
