FITZPATRICK Richard E., 71, of Lexington, husband of Maria Parente Fitzpatrick, died Monday, October 12, 2015. He was born March 30, 1944 in West Prestonsburg, Kentucky, to the late Richard C. Fitzpatrick and Opal Vanderpool Fitzpatrick. He was a graduate of Prestonsburg High School, the University of Kentucky, and the University of Kentucky College of Law. He practiced law in Prestonsburg and Lexington for over 40 years. In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter, Sarah Harmon Fitzpatrick of Lexington, a son, Jonathan E. Fitzpatrick and his wife Jennifer of Montclair, Virginia, and two grandchildren, Noah Quinn Fitzpatrick and Alessandra Sandoval. He is also survived by several nephews and a niece. He was predeceased by his sister, Garnett Truckle and his niece, Jayne Ann Ferrell. A private inurnment service will be held. Friends are invited to gather to celebrate Richard's life on Sunday, October 18, 2015 from 2-5pm at Milward - Man O' War, 1509 Trent Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to God's Pantry Food Bank, 1685 Jaggie Fox Way, Lexington, or a charity of one's choice. www.milwardfuneral.com
