Robert Edward Montgomery

MONTGOMERY Robert Edward, 78, husband of Marjorie Shelton Montgomery, of Lexington, died Sat, Sep 27, 2008. He was a retired sales rep for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kentucky. Born in Paducah, KY, he was the son of the late Karl and Ada Harrison Montgomery. A graduate of Murray State University, he was a member of Rosemont Baptist Church, Olieka Shrine Temple where he played in the Brass Band and Maysville Masonic Lodge. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. Surviving are children, Lisa Montgomery (Jeff) Blood, Chandler, AZ and Robert W. Montgomery, Lexington and grandchildren, Christina and Caryn Massey, Christina and Ashley Blood, all of Chandler, AZ and Tyler and Tucker Montgomery, Winchester. A brother, Ronnie Montgomery, preceded him in death. Funeral service will be at 11am Wed at Rosemont Baptist Church by Rev. Dwight Moody with interment in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
