Robert Waite

WAITE Robert G., age 73, of Maple Grove, MN passed away on July 21, 2015. The son of George F. and Margaret D. Waite, of Lexington, KY, he grew up in Glen Ridge, NJ, attended Lehigh University and completed a Ph.D. at the University of Kentucky. He leaves his wife of 49 years, Jean; children, Sarah Waite (David Zukor), Paul (Erica); grandchildren, Ian Zukor, Larissa Zukor, Everett Waite; siblings, Karen Carey, Pat Riker, John Waite, Maureen Browning, Sally West, Laurie Waite-Fellner. Bob served in the Peace Corps in Sabah, and retired from I.B.M. where his work was recognized by several significant awards. He also taught at St. Thomas University, St. Paul, and at the University of Maine. He was known for his clear writing and speaking and his love of family, teaching, literature and running. Service 11:30am Sunday, August 2nd. 2015 at the Cremation Society of MN. Memorials preferred to the National Parkinson Foundation, Minnesota Chapter. www.parkinsonmn.org.
