THACKER Ronald Wayne, 74, of Zachariah, KY, husband of Betty Hudson Thacker, departed this life Wed, Jan 13, 2016. He was the son of Emery and Willia Noe Thacker, born in Lee County, KY on July 27, 1941. He was retired from Portman Equipment Company as an equipment transporter. He was a United States Army veteran having served during the Vietnam era. Along with his wife, he is survived by nephew David Young and wife, Jan, and their children, Josh, Nikki, Sarah, and Charles (Rebecca); and cousin, Richard Thacker and wife, Kaye, and their children, Chase Thacker (Seria), and Cody Thacker (Laura); and his beloved pet, Cole. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Sonja Carol Young. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Sun, Jan 17, 2016 at Zoe First Church of God with Bro. Doug Roberts and Bro. David Booth officiating. Burial will follow in the Thacker Cemetery at Zachariah, KY. Visitation will be at 5:30pm Sat, Jan 16, 2016 at Porter and Son Funeral Directors in Campton, KY and after 1pm Sun, at the church. Masonic rites will be held Sat evening at 5:30pm at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be J.C. Mclean, Charles Booth, Ron Clemons, Dessie Jewell, Wayne Coomer, and Alan Rumpke.
