Lexington, Kentucky - Ryan Alan Mattson, 38, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at his home in Lexington, Kentucky.

Ryan was born on April 27, 1985, in Aurora, Minnesota. He is survived by his parents Lori & Joe Larson of Waconia, Minnesota, brother Sam Larson, and his three children Willow & Xayden Mattson of Waconia, Minnesota, and Gavin McDaniel of Louisville, Kentucky.

Ryan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Wayne & Yvonne Larson, Donald & Phyllis Klovstad, his aunt Linda Pellinen, and his uncle Gus Larson. He is survived by his maternal grandparents Gerald & Betty Mattson of Aurora, Minnesota, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Ryan was the proud owner of Spare Key Solutions, where he demonstrated his exceptional skills as an auto mechanic. He also worked as a carpenter, a notary, and an ordained minister (via Universal Life Church Ministries). He was committed to helping those close to him, and he was loved by friends and family. His kind heart and infectious smile touched the lives of everyone he met.

A celebration of life will be held on May 26, 2024, from 1-3pm, where we will gather to honor his incredible journey and the impact he had on our lives. Rest in peace and know that you are loved and greatly missed, and forever in our hearts.
