Sarah Hart Obituary

Funeral arrangements have been set for a Russell County woman murdered while jogging on Thursday.

Services for Sarah B. Hart, 31, of Jamestown, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Freedom Christian Church Family Life Center in Jamestown. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday at the church. Bernard Funeral Home in Russell Springs is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hart was a pharmacist, and her husband, Ryan Hart, is as well.

She is also survived by her children, Avery, Addison and Archer Hart, and her parents, Wendell and Cindy Roberts of Jamestown.

Mrs. Hart, who was 10 to 11 weeks pregnant with her fourth child, had been out for a run with her sister along U.S. 127 early Thursday when she decided to turn back toward where her car was parked because she didn't feel well.

Her body was found later that day in a tree line 20 to 30 yards from the road. She had been strangled, according to the Russell County coroner.

Christopher Allman, 28, has been charged with murder, first-degree robbery, kidnapping and tampering with physical evidence in the case. He is being held without bond at the Russell County Detention Center,

I can not imagine the loss you are going thru but God has a plan for Sarah that we don't know about. Sarah and Elizabeth were flower girls in my son Dale's wedding when the Robert's family lived in Johnston City, IL. Wendell was a good friend of my husband Shorty. Our prayers are with all the family.

I do not know Sarah or any of her family. How I learned of such a tragedy was from the newspaper. I went into a Speedway in Ashland, Ky. and one the front page of the Herald Leader, which I never read being that I am from WV. was a picture of a beautiful family, and that is what caught my eye. I seen above the picture that woman fought her attacker and I was devastated. I purchased the paper and read the article immediately upon returning to my car. I have shared the article with my family and church family as well. I have not been able to get this family off of my mind. I requested prayer for your family and the entire church is praying that you will find comfort thru God. I am sure that Sarah was a wonderful person, you can see the love in her eyes from the picture in the article. May God Bless each and every one of you and remember you have a personal angel watching over you now. Bless the children and may they find understanding in this someday.

I never knew Sarah Hart, but she is a person to whom I feel very close. I don't know if I have ever been touched so deeply about the death of a person I did not know. I found out what happened to Sarah by checking on the internet regarding "Breaking News"....I read what happened and saw her picture and was touched. It was like I knew her. It was like she was my friend. My sorrow is for her family and pray for God's comfort for them. Sarah's picture is now in my Bible. I am sorry for the sadness, but so thankful for Heaven! Please think of Heaven and the peace she now has. What happened we cannot understand and that is why I ask for God to comfort you only as He can. You are in my prayers and praise God that we know Him.
