Lexington, Kentucky - Stella Sargent McClure, widow of Andrew Gordon McClure, died December 3, 2021 at the age of 95. Born on December 19, 1925 in Bath County KY, she was the daughter of Ollie and Maggie Sargent. Stella and Gordon were blessed to be married 54 years, and not a day went by that she didn't say how much she missed him. They were members of Southland Christian Church for over 60 years and celebrated their Golden Anniversary there. Upon retirement they traveled the United States with Shockey Tours where they made wonderful friends and memories. Stella loved her home in Southland, living right down from the "school house" where she worked in the cafeteria. She took great pride in her home where she enjoyed hosting her family. She was preceded in death by her siblings Mary Bell Hardin, Betty Robinson Pierce, Sue Johnson, Gordon Sargent, Joe Sargent and Glenn Sargent. She is survived by two sons: Tommy (Debbie) McClure, and Tim (Kelley) McClure. She loved and cherished her two grandchildren: Andy McClure and Alli (Dan) Keener and two great grandchildren Liam McClure and Calvin Keener. She is also survived by a sister-in-law Loretta Sargent, and numerous loving nephews and nieces. Visitation will be from 12pm till 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 8th at Kerr Brothers on Harrodsburg Rd with the funeral at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens.
