Vertie Davidson Spencer

SPENCER Vertie Davidson , 100, widow of Elmer Boggs Spencer, Sr., died Mon, May 8, 2006 at Sayre Christian Village. Born in Hazard, KY, she was the daughter and the last of 13 children to the late Daniel Dock and Darcus Hensley Davidson. She was a retired nurse's aid for Central Baptist Hospital and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She is survivied by her children, Georgie Cox of Nicholasville, Geraldine Saunders of Lancaster, OH, Aileen Fronsoe of Williamsburg, OH, Lenora Moreland and Marilyn Howard both of Lexington, and Lorene Lickliter of Silver City, NM; 25 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 34 great-great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Ruth Spencer of Florence, KY. She was preceded in death by her only son, E.B. Spencer, Jr. Funeral services will be 12 noon Wednesday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main St. by the Rev. Terry Murphy. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., today (Tue) and 11 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
