Lexington, Kentucky - William W. Barker, Bill, passed away November 29, 2024, at his home. He was 97 years old. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Ann McFarland Barker. They were members of Macedonia Christian Church. Bill retired from Brock McVey. He has spent the last three decades engaged in the life of his family and the working of the Barker Farm. He is survived by a son, Dale Barker (Leisa, Lexington) and a daughter, Ann Dusing(Joe, Crittenden). Bill has five grandchildren, Jacob Barker (Trudy, Castaic, CA), Kellyn Clayton (Kenneth, Lexington), Grace Truett (Jordan, Richmond), Katie McLindon (Dan, Erlanger), and Becky Hoffman (Joe, Independence). He was also blessed with 15 great grandchildren. "Bill-Bill" was surrounded by family, extended family, friends, golf buddies, and farm volunteers who loved him. A 10am service will take place Thursday, December 5, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Harrodsburg Rd. Burial will follow at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 9-10am Thursday, at the funeral home.

Bill worked with my Dad, Roy Clark, at Brock McVey. Bill and wife Doris Ann were good friends and enjoyed many dinners out together. Daddy played golf with Bill periodically and Bill visited Daddy at Sayre Village before he died. They were great friends. So very sorry for your loss.
