He was a Master Mason, a 60-year member of Lexington Lodge #1 and a longtime Shriner with the Oleika Temple. Wimpy is survived by his wife of 58 years, the former Betty Ann Newton; son Jeff Hughes (Penny); daughter Kay Goldey (Evan); two cherished grandsons, Nicholas and Benjamin Goldey, brother Donald (Jeanette) Hughes and sister Judith (Joe) Hayes.
