Dianne Higgs Murray

November 21, 1941 - September 30, 2025

Dianne Higgs Murray passed away peacefully in her sleep September 30, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Dianne was the beloved daughter of Henry and Phyllis Higgs, and a multi generation Conch whose family dates back to the early years of Key West. Dianne embodied kindness, strength, and quiet grace. She was a prom queen and a graduate of Key West High School.

Dianne worked for the Monroe County School System for over 25 years as an office manager, where she was cherished by staff and students alike. After retirement, Dianne worked at Murray Marine Sales & Service for 17 years before retiring again.

Dianne is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, William (Bill) Murray; her children, Wayne Owen Jr. (Gricel), and Monica Montagna (Kevin); three grandchildren, Fallon Canizares, Taylor Montagna, Kyle Montagna (Melissa); and three beloved great grandchildren: Lucas and Harley Canizares, and Robyn Montagna.

Dianne will be forever missed by her family and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Cheryl Cates Foundation in Dianne's name.
