Milton Melbourne, FL - Mravic Simon Mravic Jr. In the early morning on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, Milton (Milt) Simon Mravic of Melbourne, Florida departed to be with our Lord. He was born December 3, 1943, in Fort Dix, New Jersey to Dolores and Milton Mravic, Sr. He attended Fenwick Catholic High School in Illinois and Northern Illinois University.
Milt moved to Key West, Florida with his family in the mid-1960s and was a member of St. Bede's Catholic Church.
He began his career in Key West at Buhrmaster's Chrysler Dealership as their Service Manager and afterwards Arnold and Watts Insurance Adjusters. He then opened K&M Adjusters, which he ran for several years with his business partner Jennie Kraus.
Milt was an avid fisherman, had a love for fast cars and enjoyed the political scene. He was very instrumental in State Representative Ken Sorensen's campaign in 1980, after which, Ken appointed him to the Monroe County Planning Board.
He was the Head Coach of the Key West Swim Team which traveled to South Florida for swimming competitions. He had a passion to encourage young people to do their best in their individual events.
He was also the chairperson for the Key West Fishing tournament in the 1970s.
Milt is survived by his beloved wife Priscilla and her children; his four children Natalie Aguilar (Danny), Mitts Mravic (Debbie), Cheryl Alfonso (Matthew) and De-De Stamey from his first wife Connie; son Jonathan Mravic (Stephanie) from his second wife Ann; and two children Mallory Mravic and Michael Mravic from his third wife Kathy.
His children meant the world to him; he was so proud of all his children's accomplishments. He was grandpa to Rebecca, Alicia (Harrison), Kylie, Donald, Marrissa, and Alessandra, and great-grandpa to Julian, Harlow, and Vera. He was big brother to Bonnie Messinger, Deborah Cross and Nancy Mravic, and Uncle Milt to many nieces and nephews, as well as stepfather to Jessica Stovall and Gabrielle Brown.
Milt was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers-in-law Donald Messinger and Mike Cross, and his best friend from childhood, Donald Berquist, and his great-grandson Harrison Axel Esquinaldo.
