Albert Collis Obituary

Al (Albert) Evan Collis 85 of Eugene passed away Sunday September 7th, 2025, surrounded by family. Al was born in Port Gamble, Washington on April 16th 1940 to Melvin and Evelyn Collis. Al was one of four children and was proceeded in death by Marilyn Stansfield and George Collis, he is survived by his brother Kennith Collis. In 1942 the Collis family moved down to Albany Oregon where Melvin owned Collis Lumber Company. The family then moved down to San Bernardino where Al met his wife Janet at John H. Francis Polytechnic High School in Northern Hollywood he graduated in 1958. Al and Janet married on August 4th 1961 at North Hollywood Presbyterian church. In 1977 Al and Jan moved their family to Noti Oregon with their two children Julie Fraly of Albany OR and Carolyn Hancock of Salem OR. Al had 4 grandchildren Jaclyn Stevenson of Lebanon Oregon, Jeffrey Brown of Eugene Oregon, Jarred Brown of Eugene Oregon and Benjamin Hancock of Salem Oregon. He has one great granddaughter Reagan Stevenson. Al was an entrepreneur who owned Fairfield Lanes, C&B Racing and Westside Glass. Al is best known for being an avid fisherman and bowler, he also loved basketball. In his most recent years Al spent his time bowling and loved teaching young adults how to bowl. Al was adored by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.A celebration of life is scheduled for Sunday September 28th at 10:00 at Furs Bowling Alley Eugene, OR. Flowers, donations and condolences may be offered at 4800 Barger Dr #51 EugeneOR 97402.
