Calvin Dean Ricketts, age 60, of Albany Oregon, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026 4:30pm, at our home from heart failure.
He was born to John Ricketts and Marlene Hunt Ricketts in Clearfield, Pennsylvania on August 16, 1965. He has Five siblings; He was the middle child of the five. He joined the Air Force after graduating High school and served 12 years and was also deployed overseas for desert storm. After the Air Force he settled in Altoona Texas. He met Carl Jay Egan online back when chat rooms were still chat rooms and, on his vacation of 1996, he stopped in Oregon to meet face to face, and one month later moved to Oregon. Calvin married Jay when it was briefly legal in 2004. They remarried in 2017 and have been together just shy of 30 years and Married just shy of 10 years.
He loved video games and mythological fantasy books, comics, and movies, He also loved a good comedy either from movies, comedians or memes. A true card player when it came to Magic the gathering Card game. He enjoyed playing D & D with his buds on the weekends. He loved to make people smile and feel good about themselves. He always spoke with people from saying hi how’s your day been, to long conversations pretty much about anything. He could walk into a room and everyone knew the cheers of the place was about to begin. He believed in the values of family, loyalty and honesty. He was a person to be proud to know. He loved all types of music from country to rock. His FAVORITE tv series was Charmed. He knew every episode from beginning to end. He also loved and collected Dragons; his computer room was full of them.
Calvin is survived by his Husband of 29 years, Carl Jay Egan Ricketts. Sister; Gloria Knepp (Husband Dennis Knepp), Brothers; Carmon Ricketts (wife Denise Ricketts), Duane Ricketts (wife Brenda Lee Ricketts), Roger Ricketts (Gina Ricketts), and Sam Ricketts (wife Lisa Ricketts).
Calvin is preceded in death by his loving parents John Ricketts and Marlene Hunt Ricketts; He will be cremated at Aasum-Dufour Funeral Home.
