Mark Lynch Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Greer Funeral Home - Mangum on Mar. 26, 2026.
Mark Steven Lynch, age 69, of Granite, Oklahoma passed away Friday, March 20th, 2026, while he was doing what he loved, snake hunting. Mark was born July 18th, 1956, to Nolie and Iva Nell Lynch (Crump) in Albany, Oregon while his family was there working. He grew up in the Mangum area and attended Mangum Schools. His dad, Nolie, passed away when Mark was just four years old, which resulted in family members helping to care for Mark in his younger years so his mom could work and support her family. These people included his Aunt Mamie and Uncle J.B., his older sister, Glenda and her husband, Euel. It took a village to look after Mark; he was an ornery kid, but very loved. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, drag racing, OU football, and riding his motorcycle. What Mark enjoyed most in life included spending time with his family, especially his daughters from his marriage to Peggy Davis. He loved his nieces and nephews, who looked up to Mark like a big brother. After moving to Granite about 10 years ago, he would drive back to Mangum to hang out at Dewayne's Auto for a while. Mark had several jobs throughout his life, but the one he enjoyed the most was being a mechanic. Mark Steven Lynch was preceded in death by his parents, Nolie and Iva Nell, his brother Randy, his sister Janet and his beloved grandson Gage. He is survived by his daughters Christy and husband Gerad of Erick, Oklahoma, Randi and husband Ryan of Altus, Oklahoma, Holly of Granite, Oklahoma, and Brittany and husband Devyn of Granite, Oklahoma; his sister Glenda and husband Euel of Mangum, Oklahoma. He is also survived by his grandchildren Carsyn, Peyton, Mia, Kyla, Mila, Haidyn, Berkley, Maris, Mavery, Lane, Carlee, Lilie, Makenna, Kyle, and Breckum, as well as seven great-grandchildren and two on the way, and his nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his lifelong friend, Allen Reed. Mark was the most loving father his girls could have asked for.
