Joshua Brown Obituary
Joshua James Brown, affectionately known as Josh to his friends and family, embarked on his final road trip across the great highway in the sky on July 13, 2025. Born in the serene town of Redmond, Oregon, on March 1, 1985, Josh's journey through life was marked by laughter, love, and the occasional unscheduled pit stop.
Josh, a man whose humor was as infectious as his smile, graduated from South Albany High School before shifting gears to become a diesel mechanic through LBCC. His love for engines wasn't just about fixing them; it was about feeling the power behind the wheel, especially when he was driving his dream car, a Dodge Challenger. We like to think he's now cruising on celestial roads where the speed limits are just a suggestion.
In 2007, Josh took a detour and enlisted in the army, serving his country with the same dedication and passion he brought to every aspect of his life until 2011. His service was a point of pride, and the discipline he learned in the military only made his jokes more...well, let's just say "structured."
Family was Josh's co-pilot in life. He is survived by his loving mother, Paula Ebbs; his pride and joy, son Beckham Brown and daughter Berlin Gates his partners in crime, brothers Shon, Nathan, and Raymon Ebbs; and his sister, the ever-patient Aimee Worley. His father, Edward Ebbs, who preceded him in death, is hopefully prepared for the uproarious reunion.
Josh's interests were as varied as the playlists he made for his road trips. He loved his kids, family, and friends with a ferocity matched only by his love for a good laugh. Bowling nights with his pals were always a strike, and he never passed up the chance to attend music concerts, comedy shows, or to conquer a new video game. And let's not forget his fishing escapades, where the fish were almost as lucky as they were elusive.
In the spirit of Josh's love for a good giggle, we remember him with a quote from the legendary Robin Williams: "You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it." Josh certainly never lost his spark, and his unique brand of madness will be sorely missed but fondly remembered.
Life, like a well-oiled machine, ran its course for Josh. As we gather to share stories and laughter in his memory, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man well-loved. Josh may the roads be smooth, and the traffic lights always green on your new adventure. And just like a classic car, your memory will never go out of style. Keep revving that engine and save us a spot on the cosmic bowling team, will you?
