Joyce Troup Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Joyce Troup shares of her passing on August 31, 2025. Joyce was born August 7, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois and spent her formative years in San Francisco, CA. Joyce married Kenneth Troup in 1957, and they enjoyed 68 loving years together. Upon moving to Oregon in 1969, Ken and Joyce were small business owners, first owning laundromats and then, for over 40 years, were antique dealers and estate liquidators. They sold antiques under the business names of Apple Pie, Yankee Drummer, and Old Glory Antiques. Joyce's great passion and talents included research, appraising, and sharing her deep knowledge of antiques. Joyce was an extraordinarily talented decorator and usually assembled the most attractive booths at Portland Expo, Washington Square at Kirkland, WA, and Sun Valley antique shows. Joyce is survived by her husband Kenneth; her children Douglas, Robin, and Karen; her grandchildren Justin, Jacob, Katie, and Emily; her great grandchildren Winston, June, Gracie, Ezra, Payton, and Kady. We all miss Joyce's smile, elegance, dry and occasionally bawdy sense of humor, her delicious meals and generous heart. We love you dearly, Mom!
