Arlene Collins Obituary

On June 11th, Arlene Rose Collins passed away peacefully in her bed at Pine Haven Communities in Pine Island, MN, after a life well lived in Pine Island. Her Children Mark (Lynn) Collins and Lisa Collins were fortunate to be able to spend time with her in her final days. Her good friend Susan Klopp was by her bedside as well and she was surrounded by great and caring staff at Pine Haven and St. Croix Hospice. Arlene would have been 97 years old this October and without a doubt lived a sweet and comfortable life in her small and caring community. She had beautiful friends who visited her throughout her life and especially in the 10 year since her husbands passing. Arlene enjoyed countless hours of Free cell, doing crossword puzzles in ink as she rarely made mistakes, a muffin every morning and a small glass of wine for happy hour at 4:00. She is preceded in death (chronologically) by her parents Ernest and Kathryn Keller, son Scott Donald Collins, husband Donald Joseph Collins and sister Janice Elizabeth Keller. She was truly a Rose, mirroring her middle name and will be very missed. God bless you Mom.
