Beth Anderson Obituary

Beth Wood Anderson of Rochester MN passed peacefully from this world surrounded by family on July 6, 2025 after battling cancer. She was 70. Beth grew up in with 5 siblings in Rochester. She graduated from John Marshall High and went on to study anthropology at the University of Minnesota. She continued to live and work in Minneapolis for many years. In her free time she often shared her gardening and wonderful artistic talents with friends and their children, with after-school or summer programs for children, and with her nieces and nephew. She loved spending time with all her family as well as many lifelong friends and will best be remembered for her selfless generosity, loving care for others and her comical sense of humor. She was a particularly beloved aunt and great aunt to her 5 nieces, nephew and their 10 children. Her passing has left a huge void in the hearts of her family: siblings Karen (Richard), Diane (Russell), Cameron (Kirstin), Craig, Tom (Jean), nieces and nephew and their children. We were blessed to have her in our lives and she will be missed by all who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents; Dr Lloyd and Beverly Wood. The family wishes to thank Mayo Clinic and Mayo Palliative Care for their compassionate care. A family celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in her memory to Mayo Clinic Cancer Research and Care at Give.mayoclinic.org. and messages of condolence can be left at the Rochester Cremation Services website.
